Description
Tesamorelin is a synthetic peptide that acts as a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analogue. It has mainly been shown in studies to reduce abdominal fat in HIV-infected patients with lipodystrophy, a condition characterized by abnormal fat distribution. By stimulating the release of growth hormone, tesamorelin helps improve body composition and may also have beneficial effects on metabolic parameters.
